DESCRIPTION:The latest Trump administration attack on immigrant families relates to something called “public charge.” This inhumane proposal would force immigrant families to choose between using health care\, food\, and housing programs\, and obtaining a visa or legal residency in the U.S. It is a moral outrage that threatens to punish immigrant families who enroll in programs like Medicaid and SNAP\, or those who are simply poor or have chronic illnesses. We have a chance RIGHT NOW to stand against this proposal by participating in a public comment period that lasts until December 10.
