This event is aimed at bringing together local community based health organizations, medical providers, elected officials and other stakeholders to (1) highlight the social factors that influence the health and well-being of Brooklyn residents, (2) showcase the value and importance of community-based health programs that address social determinants of health (3) strengthen partnerships between clinical and non-clinical care providers and (4) identify ways in which coordinated efforts can improve health and reduce disparate health outcomes for under-serviced Brooklynites.

Disability Pride Parade

The Brooklyn Center for Independence of the Disabled will take part in the Disability Pride Parade on Sunday, July 15th. Staff in costume will be marching, together with clients and friends. The parade will step off at 11:00 am from Union Square Park, and will go up Broadway to Madison Square Park.
