This year’s gathering brought together over 80 CBOs alongside other stakeholders, including representatives from academia, government agencies, the private sector, and healthcare systems, to advance efforts in shaping the future of the healthcare system under the 1115 Medicaid Waiver. Participants exchanged resources, shared best practices, strengthened partnerships, and united around advocacy, fostering a more inclusive and transformative approach to healthcare. As part of the next steps, CTHE will provide recommendations to the respective stakeholders, with more details to follow.

CTHE partnered with Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) and hosted a training where over 40 CBO leaders across NYC were engaged. The session focused on healthcare partnership strategies, providing a comprehensive overview of the full cost framework’s role in negotiation and its importance in advocacy efforts.

In partnership with Commission on the Public’s Health System (CPHS), 50+ community partners participated in a training session to better understand healthcare, including its complexities and challenges for uninsured or underinsured individuals. It stressed the significance of advocacy offering resources for organizations to actively participate in efforts to reshape healthcare delivery.
